About Me

My story begins in my childhood, where I found myself immersed in an art class taught by the talented Ms. Moriguchi. It was a defining moment as I sat at my desk, fully engaged in sculpting a remarkable Orca whale out of clay. This sculpture held significant meaning, becoming a cherished centerpiece in my aunt's display for over two decades, reminiscent of the iconic Moby Dick.

In that art class, I stood out as one of the few guys amongst a sea of young artists. While I may not have been the most vocal, my passion for art burned deep within me. One day, our art teacher assigned a painting project that called for us to depict our community. As I pondered the task, my mind drifted to the toys that fueled my imagination and shaped my worldview: the action figures, Legos, Transformers, and Power Rangers. These childhood companions became the building blocks of my creativity.

Drawing inspiration from those beloved toys, I envisioned an aerial view of my hometown neighborhood. With meticulous attention to detail, I painted vibrant city blocks, capturing the energy of urban life. Cars cruising through the streets, people enjoying leisurely strolls in their yards, and the iconic skyline dominated by the towering presence of the Space Needle—I brought it all to life on paper.

That painting allowed me to express my deep connection to my community and my love for the city that surrounded me. Creating art became an outlet—a way to transform my thoughts into something tangible. It filled me with a sense of purpose and satisfaction. Through my painting, I aimed to showcase the dynamic and diverse nature of the place I proudly call home.

Little did I know then that this art class would serve as a stepping stone, planting the seeds of creativity and individuality within me. The memories forged during that time continue to shape my perspective and inspire me to this day.

Ms. Moriguchi, my third-grade teacher, played a pivotal role in molding my artistic journey. Her unwavering support and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on me. Recognizing our potential, she encouraged me and my classmate Mei to submit our work to a prestigious local art contest. Despite our young age, we secured top positions, defying expectations. It was an extraordinary experience.

Under Ms. Moriguchi's guidance, I learned invaluable lessons about creativity and perseverance. She taught me to visualize ideas and transform them into tangible masterpieces, even in the face of inevitable mistakes. Patience became a vital virtue in the world of art, and Ms. Moriguchi showed me that it would ultimately lead to rewarding results. These formative experiences laid the foundation for my personal growth and development.

I distinctly recall being asked about my aspirations for the future. Without hesitation, I boldly declared my desire to become an artist. Unfortunately, I encountered discouragement, with others dismissing the pursuit of art as futile. As a young man, those words echoed within me, momentarily dampening my innate creativity. It's a decision I now deeply regret.

However, as life progressed into my adult years, the embers of my passion reignited when I acquired my own camera. Witnessing the process of capturing breathtaking photographs, producing stunning visuals with that ethereal, creamy blur known as bokeh—it awakened something deep within me. I marveled at the mesmerizing results and became obsessed with recreating them. My camera became an extension of myself, accompanying me everywhere, even to the most unconventional and secluded places. Riding my motorcycle, I discovered the freedom to explore locations inaccessible to others, capturing moments that felt both exhilarating and unforgettable. It was during that transformative summer that my artistic journey took a new and exhilarating turn.

I have embarked on a transformative journey of self-discovery and reinvention. Throughout my life, I have embraced various roles and experiences, from tending the bar as a bartender to immersing myself in scientific pursuits as a science major. These diverse encounters, coupled with my personal growth as a man, have given me a unique perspective on the world.

While I may not always be at the forefront of the latest trends, I find solace in focusing on the overlooked aspects. As a photographer, I've realized that anyone can capture a beautiful portrait. What sets me apart is my ability to unveil that special something that awakens the inner child within you—the essence of your true self. My broad range of life experiences has played a pivotal role in developing this skill.

I attribute my success to the trust and support of those who have believed in me along the way. Without their encouragement, I wouldn't be where I am today. In a digital era that often prioritizes superficiality, authenticity becomes increasingly challenging to maintain. Thus, my primary goal is to assist my clients in discovering and expressing their genuine truths. I'm here to support you on this journey of self-discovery.

Thank you for placing your trust in me, and I look forward to collaborating with you.
